Abstract:
Does the thought of going on a job interview cause your palms to sweat and your body to break out in hives? Stop itching; you're not alone....
It's a service done - a good one at that - to the student community. Whatever be the qualification that may "send" a student for an interview, it's the concentrated preparation for the Interview that helps. I compliment your good work.
PASS is the password for success, even at the interview - be Preapred, be Alert, be Smart and be Sincere.
The aspirant must realise, Interview is NOT an elimination Process, but a Selection Process, wherein the Interviewer wants to determine if the Interviewee has the skills to do the job. Interviewee must sell his skills and abilities, not his qualification.
In answering the Question, "Tell me about yourself", the The DO's are: Tell them your background, Tell them your capabilities, Give specific information that would help them understand that you can be employed
The DONT's: Don't start with " I am Mr...." Don't tell them "My father is . . ." Don't tell them " I have completed ..." Don't ever tell them "That is all" It's your job to tell them why you are right for the job.
The Five Basic Questions, any Intervewee must prepare on:
Why are you here?
What can you do for us?
What kind of person are you?
What distinguishes you from other people who have the same skills as you have?
Can we afford you?
