Cornerstones won't bite (7/2/08)

Abstract:
That time of the year is upon us again. It's that dreaded week where young adults from all over the country trek to a small plot outside Bushnell to camp out and listen to the live bands at the Cornerstone Festival.

I was minding my own business in the toothpaste aisle of everyone's favorite one-stop-shopping outlet when I suddenly found myself in a conversation with a polite elderly woman....

My son is playing Cornerstone this week with a band called Awakener. They are from the Warner Robins, Georgia area.These guys are truly just normal guys. They all have a job and they all go to college and church. None of them drink alcahol or do drugs. They have a standing rule against partaking in such. That is more than you can say about most of the teen population these days. As a matter of fact this band called Awakener is some of the most upstanding citizens you will ever find. All the dress and screaming is all show. They look nothing like this on a daily basis. They are very popular throughout the Southern States.
