My son just recently totaled his Yamaha Road Star. He's all right. He broke his left arm in two places. He was lucky as hell to survive. It was the typical left turn by the motorist. He had a black mc wore a black helment and a black leather jacket. I have been trying to get him to wear a reflective vest and a white helmet. Of course, that dosen't look cool and he tells me that he dosen't think it would have made any differents what he was wearing the crash still would have happen. There is a point to this story. Why not legislate the wearing of reflective vest and require taking a mc safety course before a motorcycle license will be issued? I know this is a tall order since some states don't even require wearing helmets.

Thanks
