Recycling just a big waste

It almost seems recycling would be farthest from the word "wasteful," but in fact recycling has proven itself to be just that. The bottom line is, it's cheaper to make, say, a plastic bottle than to recycle one. Troops need more than honor, labor needs more than to be forgotten

Smothering Chandler Park with hundreds of American flags did nothing to help the soldiers. Flying an American flag is a cheap and easy way to pretend one is patriotic without having to do anything. If Macomb Mayor Mick Wisslead is serious about helping veterans, why isn't he organizing a rally to protest Republican efforts to cut veteran's benefits? Letter to the Editor

Editor's note: The following letter is in response to "There's no time for Prime Time," by Jeff Bartl, which appeared in the September 1 issue of the WC.
Mr. Bartl's contention that Deion Sanders should not make a comeback is preposterous. Deion signed with the Ravens and coach Brian Billick wouldn't let him anywhere near his team if he didn't think he could play, he simply cares too much about winning. Billick's not asking him to shut down TO, Moss, or Harrison, he's asking Deion to be a nickle back, and cover a team's third receiver.… Post the First Comment
