Peter Rabbit brings Easter to Macomb
Peter Rabbit visited the Macomb Public Library to treat dozens of children to an Easter Egg Hunt on Friday.
Children ran around the library carrying baskets and bags, searching for plastic eggs that were hidden under desks, on bookshelves or in corners.
"My favorite thing (about Easter) is that you get to collect Easter eggs," said both Regan and Riley McFall, six-year-old twins who came to the hunt with their grandmother Joyce Bilbrey.…

Language requirement debated
The discussion on whether Western Illinois University should require students to study foreign languages to graduate is still being debated. In the Feb. 22 Faculty Senate meeting, senators discussed the necessity of implementing the requirement. While the university is apprehensive because of the possible decrease in applicants by making it a requirement, Western Provost Joseph Rallo discussed the flipside of the question about how many students Western could lose by not doing it.…
