Operational Policies Chair John Kennealy's constitutional amendment to remove Inter-Hall Council from the senate went down in flames at Tuesday night's Student Government Association meeting. Since the measure needed the support of at least two-thirds of the senators, Kennealy was not surprised it was defeated.…

Liquor lingo
At Monday night's Macomb City Council meeting, an amendment seeking to clarify the language of the liquor code was read specifically pertaining to those found to be underage in a drinking establishment. The current fine given to unlawful purchase, acceptance, possession or illegal consumption by a minor is no less than $250 and cannot exceed $700. This was only a first reading in seeking to clarify the language, however, all aldermen were in favor of the ordinance.…
