Rezoning gets torn down

Motions to rezone two properties, one on West Elting and one on North Albert streets, from one-family to two-family zoning, were denied by a 6-2 vote for the former and a 5-3 vote for the latter on Monday evening. Tom Embry, owner of the property on W. Local hospital donates records to library archives

Fifty years of record series from McDonough District Hospital will be donated to the Western Illinois University Leslie F. Malpass Library Archives and Special Collections Unit next month as part of a new partnership between MDH and the university. The hospital, which will celebrate its 50th anniversary in August, is donating numerous items to the WIU Archives and will continue to do so throughout the years to add to the MDH Collection, said Jeffrey Hancks, Archives Coordinator and Endowed Professor in Icarian and Regional Studies.… Post the First Comment
