Hip-hop artist T-Pain, presented by the Black Student Association, is rescheduled to make his first appearance at Western Illinois University on Saturday, March 29 at Western Hall. The rapper will make his debut after failing to appear during his initial "Groove Jam" performance date, which was scheduled for Oct. 29 of last year.

According to MidCoast Entertainment President Gus Stanford, the star was unable to arrive in Macomb due to unstable weather in the Miami area, which canceled his flight and ultimately the concert. In order to prevent another uncontrollable weather situation from occurring, the artist scheduled Western's performance one day after his concert in Ohio, enabling him to commute to Macomb on his tour bus instead of by plane.

The multi-platinum star from Louisiana is a recipient of five Grammy nominations, including a Grammy award shared with rap artist Kanye West for "Best Rap Song" for the hit single "Good Life." T-Pain has enjoyed the success of selling 3 million records of his popular single "Buy U A Drank (Shawty Snappin')."

The R&B sensation will bring these credentials to the concert, which will include the performance of TVT recording artist Dude-N-Nem, who is known for its successful single "Watch My Feet." A fashion show will also be incorporated into the performance, during which handpicked college students selected from the University E-board will model urban wear on stage, emulating MTV's "Rip the Runway" reality series.

Tickets for the concert will be on sale starting March 15 at noon at Browne Hall. Ticket prices will be discounted for students at $16 per ticket and $21 for non-students if purchased in advance. Prices will be raised to $21 for students and $26 for non-students if bought at the door.

This article states in the third paragraph that rapper T Pain is from Louisiana, when in fact, he's from Tallahassee, FL. Just thought I should put that out there. (Continued…)

Who cares?
