With Oakland's 61-43 defeat of Southern Utah Monday night, the Golden Grizzlies move past Western Illinois for the top seed in the Women's Summit League Tournament.
Both Oakland and Western hold the same 12-6 mark within conference play. The tie-breaker came down to the two teams' record against one another, which sent the Golden Grizzlies to the No. 1 slot because they beat the Westerwinds twice this season.
South Dakota State (23-6, 16-2 Summit) and North Dakota State (17-11, 12-6) are ineligible for the tournament.
Oakland will take on No. 8 Centenary Saturday at noon in Tulsa, Okla., and Western plays No. 7 UMKC at 2:30 p.m.
Sunday's games include match-ups between No. 4 Oral Roberts and No. 5 IPFW at noon and No. 3 IUPUI and No. 6 Southern Utah at 2:30 p.m.
The first-round winners will play Monday afternoon, and the championship game will take place Tuesday at 2 p.m. The title game will air on ESPNU.
