Men's tennis match rescheduled
The Western Illinois men's tennis match against Lewis scheduled to take place Tuesday at 3 p.m. on Brophy Courts was rescheduled due to a schedule conflict.
The match has been moved to next Wednesday at the same time and place.
Men's golf set to host invitational
The Western Illinois men's golf team hosts the Beu/Mussatto Invitational beginning Friday and ending Saturday at the Harry Mussatto Golf Course in Macomb.
The field of 17 teams includes two Leatherneck squads and IUPUI, Oakland and South Dakota State from the Summit League.
Other Division I teams competing this weekend are Chicago State, St. Francis (Ill.), Green Bay and Loyola. Truman State and Maryville (St. Louis) will be in Macomb from the Division II and III ranks, respectively.
National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) squads in the invitational include Lindenwood, Robert Morris College and St. Ambrose. Three junior colleges - Illinois Central, Indian Hills and Parkland - will also be in this weekend's competition.
Women's basketball raises money
The Westerwinds basketball team raised more than $445 for Relay for Life and the American Cancer Society over the weekend. Players were at Hy-Vee last Sunday bagging groceries and assisting shoppers while accepting donations.
The women's basketball team will be participating in the Relay for Life event that is scheduled to begin April 11 at 6 p.m. and run through 6 a.m. on April 12 in the University Mall.
