Dancing for Dreams
Issue date: 4/4/08 Section: News
The second annual Dancing for Dreams dance contest will be held Thursday, April 10 in the University Union Heritage Room. Beginning at 8 p.m., this freestyle dance competition will allow students to demonstrate both creativity and endurance. A panel of judges will eliminate a pre-determined number of students during each song; during breaks, prizes will be raffled off. The winner will receive a grand prize.
Students can enter the competition by purchasing $4 entry tickets in the Union Concourse all next week or at the door. Higgins Hall Government has also placed collection boxes in all residence halls. All proceeds from the event go to The Dream Factory charity, which will help Daphne, 11, fulfill her dream of visiting Italy and representing her school as a young ambassador.
