Western had defeated the Golden Eagles at home earlier in the season, and thanks to a team-high 21-kill effort by Houston, the 'Winds were able to complete the season sweep on the road.
The 'Winds later earned a berth to the Summit Tournament because the sweep of the Oral Roberts gave them the tiebreaker, pushing Western into the postseason and leaving the Golden Eagles at home.

Are you joking. Most improved athlete? She was NOT deserving of this. I follow the volleyball team very closely and I know she had some standout performances and deserved recognition of that but the only award she should earn is "choke artist of the year" because when it mattered, she choked and I was there to witness it whether the westerwinds were on the road or at home.
