City Council postpones agenda (6/11/08)

Items on the agenda included issues such as the possible ordinance to authorize the issuance of up to $3.5 million in Waterworks Revenue Bonds and Alternate Revenue Source Bonds to finance waterworks facility improvements as well as discussions to advertise for bids for CCTV Camera System for the Police Department and to share a network administrator with McDonough County in addition to four other issues.
As far as the CCTV Camera System was concerned, there was some confusion as to what would be able to be purchased with the $25,000 budget. Some aldermen thought one camera would be purchased while others were under the impression that an entire system would be purchased. A unanimous vote was cast after Mayor Mick Wisslead suggested some clarification for the issue for the next meeting's agenda.
The meeting concluded with discussion concerning Macomb parks. Alderman Chris Senn said he felt some of the park board members were attempting to corner board members for their benefit. Wisslead moved to put that issue on next week's agenda after some concrete numbers are established.
