The average American office job isn't the most exciting show in town. Managing a budget, keying orders and listening to the squawk of some mid-level manager - Wesley Gibson knows the drill and is just about sick of it. He is a nobody and struggles to get through each day. Uncontrollable panic attacks, a cheating girlfriend and that aforementioned job of mediocrity are all part of his daily package.

Universal Pictures' latest flick "Wanted" takes audiences on a wild and gruesome ride of death, destruction and utter revenge, with Wesley Gibson (James McAvoy) in the driver's seat.

But wait - How can someone like Wesley Gibson be the star of such a film? Well, when fate comes knocking at your door in the form of a fox named Fox (Angelina Jolie), it would be hard to simply walk away, especially when she tells you you're destined to become a notorious assassin.

Wesley has had some problems, though. Unable to control an anxiety that causes his heart to beat at a rate comparable to the Incredible Hulk's, Wesley is forced to indulge in various medications that turn him into a rock-bottom zombie. Mr. Gibson is a sad case, grinding along the motions of an unbearable and meaningless life. But that's all before the **** hits the fan.

Forged 1,000 years ago, The Fraternity is on the prowl, systematically assassinating those who fate marks for death. And their latest desire has Wesley Gibson's name on it.

Headed by Sloan (Morgan Freeman), The Fraternity sends Fox (Jolie) to seek out Wesley with news of his father, who he believed to be long gone. Finding himself in a whirlwind of confusion, Wesley eventually lurches his way over to the dark side.

As a requirement of The Fraternity, Wesley goes through a brutal training regimen, complete with broken noses, deeply lacerated limbs, and a miracle-bath that sooths the pain. And who can forget the curving bullets. Only few people in history have the ability to curve bullets, and Wesley is one of them.
